2019 Alfa Romeo Giulietta gets a refresh
Alfa Romeo has revealed a revised version of its Giulietta hatchback ahead of it going on show at Geneva. Aiming to reassert its position as a sporty hatch, a new range of three improved trim levels will be offered.
At the top of the range is the revised Veloce trim (pictured above). It features revised sports bumpers, yellow brake calipers, gloss black trim, twin tailpipes and front fog lights. There’s a set of 18in wheels and privacy glass too.
On the inside, the Veloce gets new Alcantara and fabric seats with contrasting yellow stitching and head rests embossed with the Alfa Romeo logo, aluminium pedals and kick plate and flat-bottom sports steering wheel with yellow stitching.
Front and rear parking sensors, electrochromic rear-view mirror, electrically folding wing mirrors, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers and Uconnect 6.5in radio NAV are all included as standard to cement the Veloce trim’s place at the top of the line-up.
The mid-range model is the Speciale, with revised 17in alloy wheels and black details marking it out from the entry-level Super trim. There’s black details on the exterior and a host of upgraded sporty trim inside too such as a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Entry-level Super models feature 17in Turbine alloy wheels, while inside there’s a new upholstery design complete with grey stitching. Cruise control, dual-zone air con, fog lights and rear parking sensors are standard across the Giulietta range.
Engine-wise, there’s a 1.4-litre turbo petrol that produces 118bhp and a 1.6-litre 118bhp Multijet diesel. Exclusive to Veloce models is a 2.0-litre diesel that produces 170bhp and comes with Alfa’s TCT automatic gearbox.
The Giulietta range will be priced from £19,750 rising to £25,850. It’ll be available to order following the Geneva Motor Show. We’ll bring you lease rates as soon as they’re available.
