Aston Martin has revealed the DB9-replacing DB11 at the Geneva Motor Show.

With a 600bhp twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 and a 200mph top speed, the £155,000 supercar is certainly faster than the DB9 it succeeds.

The British company says the chassis and steering have been “re-imagined” to “harness the immense performance”. There are several driver-selectable modes that adjust the set-up of the engine, steering, gearbox and suspension depending on how the driver wishes to drive, while a torque vectoring system ensures that power is sent to the wheel with the most grip.

Inside, there’s more technology on show, in the shape of the 12in TFT instrument cluster and the 8in central infotainment unit. Rather than using a touchscreen (which gets unsightly fingerprints all over it), the system is controlled by a rotary control and a touchpad, similar to the Mercedes-Benz C-Class’. There’s autonomous parking, too, and a bird’s-eye 360-degree parking camera.

Aston Martin Chief Executive Officer, Dr Andy Palmer said: “We aspire to make the most beautiful cars in the world.  DB11 is the absolute embodiment of what an Aston Martin should be and we have worked tirelessly to ensure that DB11 combines both exceptional design with the latest technology throughout.
