2020 Audi RS4 Avant gets aggressive new look
Say hello to the latest RS4 Avant – the hottest version of the latest A4 estate. Featuring a much more aggressive look, interior upgrades and a 450hp V6 petrol engine, it’ll be available to order from November.
On the outside, it mirrors the sharp looks of the latest RS6 Avant with the same host of upgrades; there’s wider bumpers, beefier side skirts and wheel arches along with a set of 19in alloys.
Other changes include gloss black details, a new roof spoiler and roof rails along with a number of subtle RS-only optional extras that help it stand out from more sedate models.
The bigger change is arguably on the inside, where you’ll find a much more modern interior than its predecessor. First off, there’s now a 10.1in infotainment screen that is now touchscreen rather than rotary-wheel-controlled.
Of course, this being the RS model, you’ll be able to take advantage of a G-force readout along with various other digitised performance-related instrumentation. There’s sports seats too, along with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and Audi’s digital driver display.
The 2.9-litre V6 turbocharged engine remains the same as before, producing 450hp and 600Nm of torque. This is enough to give this family estate a 0-62mph time of 4.1 seconds and a limited top speed of 155mph.
Quattro all-wheel drive features as standard too, while the chassis and braking systems have been upgraded to suit the car’s high performance credentials. Performance-orientated options include adaptive dampers and a Dynamic Pack that ups the top speed to 174mph.
UK prices are to be confirmed, but it’ll be available to order in December, with deliveries expected to commence early next year.
