Fastest ever Jaguar to cost £135k, limited to just 10 models
Jaguar will sell a limited number of its fastest ever production car – the XKR-S GT - to UK buyers for £135,000 each.
With a 3.9 second 0-60mph time and a 186mph electronically limited top speed, the race track-orientated XKR-S GT is the most extreme road-legal Jaguar yet.
It is powered by a 550PS, 680Nm supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, mated to a six speed transmission, with active electronic differential.
Only ten models will be available in the UK with another 30 destined for homes in the United States and Canada.
Nürburgring best
A prototype of the XKR-S GT recently completed a lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit in 7 minutes and 40 seconds, marking a new record for a road-legal Jaguar.
The XKR-S GT features bespoke aerodynamic components and suspension developments to increase downforce and optimise high-speed cornering.
It achieves a maximum downforce of 145kg, thanks to aerodynamic aids such as a carbon-fibre front splitter, dive planes, extended wheelarch spats, an elevated rear wing, rear diffuser and an aluminium valance.
A new front and rear suspension has been developed especially for the XKR-S GT with a wider front track, increased camber, revised bushings, a new steering system and faster steering ratio.
