Hitachi Capital is celebrating a spate of new signings, winning business from recruitment agency Matchtech Group, brewers Charles Wells Group,  rental firm, the Lavendon Group and publishing company Daily Mail & General Trust.

Hitachi Capital Car Solutions Robert WastellBoth Matchtech and Charles Wells are new signings and will respectively hand over the running of their 110 car and 120 car strong fleets to Hitachi, citing e-commerce platforms and smartphone apps as key reasons for their choice.

After competitive tendering processes, Hitachi also resigns the Lavendon Group and the Daily Mail & General Trust.

Robert Wastell, divisional managing director of Hitachi Capital Car Solutions, comments: “We have seen a rising trend for customers looking to outsource their car fleet management in recent months; our customers are looking to subcontract certain parts of their business operations in order to sustain output without impacting on productivity levels.

“This is where we come in, working in partnership with companies like Matchtech Group and Charles Wells to handle all driver contact and free up valuable internal HR and fleet management employees.”

He adds: “Our sales team has worked hard to discover and then respond to what both Matchtech Group and Charles Wells need from a fleet perspective.  Our offering is such that the decision to sign with us was based on what we could deliver and the value it represented, in particular the full outsourcing of their fleet management.”
