The Mazda CX-5 continues to keep up with the competition, with another round of small updates announced including the introduction of cylinder deactivation as well as upgrades to the infotainment.

The CX-5 is currently Mazda’s biggest selling model in the UK, and subtle revisions across the range ensure this popular SUV continues to offer class-leading levels of driver appeal, quality, equipment and style.

Since the launch of the original Mazda CX-5 in 2012, 60,000 have found homes in the UK. The second-generation CX-5 has received an annual refresh since its launch in 2017, with 2020 seeing a continuation of this gentle evolution.

This includes the introduction of cylinder deactivation on manual 165ps Skyactiv-G petrol models, which delivers a reduction of 8g/km of C02. The 162bhp Skyactiv-G petrol is available in all three trim grades: SE-L, Sport and GT Sport.

Subtle changes also feature on the interior, with the seven-inch floating infotainment screen now allowing the satnav mapping to extend its full dimensions for a larger and clearer picture.

The 2020 Mazda CX-5’s dynamic set-up is unchanged, following a comprehensive update in 2019. This saw subtle tweaks to the CX-5’s suspension as well as the introduction of Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control system which enhances stability at speed.

The 14-model range still features six petrol models and eight diesel models across SE-L, Sport and GT-Sport grade priced from £27,030 to £39,085.
