New Hyundai i20 N hot hatch on its way
The first images of a prototype of the all-new Hyundai i20 N have been released.
Following the success of the i30 N and i30 Fastback N, Hyundai is developing a high-performance version of the i20. As with other N models, the i20 N will be racetrack capable and street legal.
Hyundai WRC driver Thierry Neuville has been putting the i20 N through its paces under extreme conditions on a frozen lake in northern Sweden.
Commenting on the prototype all-new i20 N, Neuville said: “Very interesting car. Very precise. Very easy handling. The engine is revving nicely and the noise is very interesting as well. I’m looking forward to get this one to drive in WRC!”
Further details of the i20 N will be revealed soon.
The standard i20 is also being updated this year and will have a more sporty and dynamic look than the outgoing model.
Inside, it will have two digital screens, new colour combinations and bold, full-width horizontal blades across the front interior of the vehicle. A 10.25in digital cluster and a 10.25in centre touchscreen have been visually combined to increase the elegance and visual comfort of the interior.
