New Zenith tool keeps tabs on commercial vehicle builds
Zenith’s new online tool help its customers ensure their commercial vehicle build cycle is managed as efficiently and cost effectively as possible.
The online commercial vehicle build management tool tracks each stage of a commercial vehicle’s build management programme with its status updated in real time as the vehicle moves through the process.
Any delays are flagged immediately and the effects can be mitigated, with the programme realigned, whether it be a supplier, equipment or process enhancement.
The tool, which forms part of Zenith’s Pulse online fleet management platform, enables equipment to be tracked to help identify their potential to be fitted to another vehicle, on de-fleet or following accident damage or vehicle write off. The vehicle’s end of contract process is also monitored to ensure that vehicles are ready for re-allocation or re-sale on schedule.
Ian Hughes, Zenith’s Commercial Director, said: “We identified an opportunity to use our fleet software to improve the efficiencies of the build management process for our commercial vehicles.
“This tool has enabled us to work more closely together with our customers to improve supply chain management and ensure that the vehicles are ready to the right specification, on time and without incurring unnecessary costs or delays.”
Fleet management and vehicle outsourcing business Zenith manages a fleet of over 40,000 vehicles throughout the UK.
