Polestar 5: Everything we know about the fastback EV so far
We’ve been given a glimpse of the Polestar 5 – a swoopy fastback model that’ll join the Polestar 2 and 3 in 2024.
It’ll be aiming to take on cars like the Audi e-tron GT when it eventually arrives. Here’s everything we know so far.
The above image is the first teaser pic of the 5, and it’s clear that it takes direct inspiration from the Polestar Precept concept car.
The image clearly shows a stunning real light design, along with a sweeping teardrop design for the bodyshell.
The Precept design featured split-level headlights too and, from what we can see in the teaser image, this will be carried over too.
The interior is likely to carry over key elements from the concept too (pictured above) meaning it’ll feature a clutter-free design and a premium-looking steering wheel and digital driver display.
Drivetrain-wise, the Polestar 5 will of course be all-electric. It’ll most likely get a dual-motor system that offers lightning quick performance and more than 300 miles of range.
Further details are to be confirmed, but we’ll bring you info as soon as it is revealed. In terms of a release date, you’re in for a wait – the 5 is likely to hit the UK market in 2024.
