2019 Renault Kadjar facelift: price and specs revealed

Price and specs for the revised Renault Kadjar have been announced, with the new model set to be priced from £20,595 when orders open on 3 January. Deliveries are set to begin in February.

Externally, things haven’t changed dramatically. Renault says the new car gets a more ‘fluid and elegant’ appearance thanks to revised front and rear ends. Up front there’s a wider grille with chrome inserts, while the rear bumper also gets additional chrome inserts.

Three new colours are on offer – Oural Green, Highland Grey and Iron Blue. All models now feature 17in alloy wheels, while 19in and tinted windows are offered on higher trim levels.

Inside, there’s a revised control system for the air con, with climate control now featuring across the range. A 7in touchscreen infotainment system features, while air vents, door handles and the centre console get a new look. Controls for the electric windows and door mirrors have been revised.

Four trims are now available, rather than the five that were offered previously: Play, Iconic, GT Line and an all-new model – the S-Edition. The latter is a style-focused trim that gets its own interior upholstery design, redesigned LED headlights, a rear-view camera and a panoramic sunroof. These are features normally reserved for range-topping GT Line models.

There’s four engines to choose from – a four-cylinder petrol available with 138bhp or 168bhp – and two diesels – available with 113bhp or 148bhp. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard, with both petrols and diesels available with a seven-speed automatic gearbox as an option. The most powerful diesel is also available with a four-wheel drive system.

The petrols are capable of 47.9mpg and 65.7mpg respectively, while the least potent diesel returns an average of 62.8mpg. Further economy data is to be confirmed.
