2022 Skoda Karoq: Everything you need to know about updated SUV
The Skoda Karoq has received a mid-life refresh, with the revised crossover ushering in a revised look, more efficient engines and the use of sustainable materials.

Skoda Karoq styling
Externally, the Karoq is more evolutionary rather than revolutionary. It still has the same look of its predecessor, but a closer inspection reveals a host of tweaks. Up front, the headlights are thinner than before, while the grille is larger.
The rear lights which also sit within a redesigned cluster. The boot spoiler has been slightly elongated, while a host of fresh 17, 18 and 19in alloy wheel designs are on offer.
Skoda Karoq interior and tech
The biggest news is that all models now feature an 8in digital driver display and Android Auto/Apple Carplay as standard. The former increases to 10in in some models depending on spec.
There’s also been an emphasis on introducing eco-friendly materials, with the Karoq now available with an Eco pack. This adds a raft of sustainable materials to the cabin, including leather-effect upholstery that’s vegan friendly.
There’s a choice of three trims: SE Drive, SE L and SportLine. As well as the new driver display, the entry-level model also gets a host of safety systems including pedestrian protection, traffic sign recognition and adaptive cruise control.
The SE L adds a sportier body kit and trim pieces, along with 17in alloy wheels. At the top of the range, Sportline models get features such as 18in alloy wheels, black external trim and LED headlights.
Skoda Karoq trims and list prices
The Karoq will be available in three trims from launch: SE Drive, SE L and Sportline. SE Drive is priced from £25,950 and features 17in alloys, a touchscreen satnav system, dynamic indicators and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatability.
Priced from £27,950, Karoq SE L adds 18in alloy wheels, heated front seats and steering wheel, keyless entry, a parking pack and Skoda’s clever VarioFlex seating.
The SportLine is the range-topping model and is priced from £31,835. It gets LED matrix headlights, a panoramic sunroof, an electrically operated boot, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
Skoda Karoq drivetrains
Five engines are available across the range, all of which have been tweaked for efficiency. Entry-level models feature a 110hp 1.0-litre petrol unit, but 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre petrols are also available.
Two diesels complete the range, with a singular 2.0-litre unit available with either 114hp or 150hp. Whichever one you go for, you can choose between a six-speed manual or seven-speed automatic gearbox.
