Subaru expands BRZ range with re-introduction of SE trim
Subaru has expanded the BRZ range with the re-introduction the entry-level SE version of the sports coupe.
Bringing back the SE trim has increased the BRZ line-up to two variants and dropped the price to £22,495 - £1,500 less than the SE Lux model, which itself was the subject of a £2,500 price cut in the summer.

As standard, the SE comes with keyless entry and go, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, sports seats, a mountain of airbags and a Torsen limited-slip differential, while satellite navigation is an optional extra. An automatic gearbox is also offered as a £1,500 extra.
Built at Subaru’s factory in Ota-city, Japan, the BRZ is manufactured alongside its sister car, the Toyota GT86, which has been a sluggish seller by Toyota’s high standards, despite rave reviews in the automotive press.
Price cutting is becoming something of a feature for Subaru with the new WRX STI now costing £4,000 less than the old car as the Japanese brand attempts to improve on lacklustre sales. It’s on track, with July 2014 sales figures showing the company had doubled its market share over the preceding twelve months, but even so a mere 165 vehicles actually found new homes.
