True fleet sales up 15% for Hyundai in Q1 2015
Hyundai’s true fleet sales grew by 15% in the first quarter of 2015.
Compared to the first three months of 2014, the South Korean car maker registered 800 units to company fleets, a figure which outpaced the 12.5% growth seen in the overall growth fleet and business sector.
In addition, contract hire volumes almost doubled too, up 97% on Q1 2014.
Hyundai put its successes down to a combination of strong uptake from SMEs, robust results for Motability sales – which grew 22% - and the arrival of the new i20 and revised i30 [pictured]. The forthcoming i40 and Tucson – which will replace the ix35 – are expected to contribute further to Hyundai’s fleet joys.
Martin Wilson, Hyundai UK Fleet Director, commented: “Hyundai’s growth is testament to our efforts and investment in meeting the needs of fleet buyers.
“Our comprehensive range of design-led vehicles deliver high quality at an accessible price, a crucial mix to get right for discerning business customers.”
