Audi Q4 e-tron set for 14 April reveal

  • 09 Apr 2021

Audi has confirmed a production variant of its Q4 e-tron concept will be revealed on 14 April, further spearheading the brand’s EV offensive.

Here’s everything we know so far.

Audi Q4 e-tron styling

We’ll have to wait until next month to see what the Q4 e-tron looks like without camouflage, but the previews reveal it’ll get the same design language as Audi’s new e-tron GT.

That means a big faux-grille, plenty of creases and a definite look that differentiates itself from the combustion-powered range. The shady snap above also confirms it’ll be available as an SUV and Sportback.

The front gets two angular ait intakes, while the back benefits from a full-width lighting set-up – again, similar to the e-tron GT.

This is of course a medium-sized SUV rather than a low-slung fastback. But we’re likely to see an e-tron Q4 Sportback model in the future.

Audi Q4 e-tron interior and tech

We’ll let the photos do the talking here: the Q4 e-tron’s interior looks spectacular, even compared to more expensive Audis like the latest A6.

It’s thanks to a floating centre-console set-up that has allowed Audi to angle the 10.1in infotainment system towards the driver.

The instruments have also been replaced by another 10in screen ahead of the driver, while an augmented reality sat-nav system will be available too.

The vivid displays are crisp and colourful, and as you’d expect feature smartphone monitoring courtesy of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Audi Q4 e-tron drivetrains

The Q4 e-tron will get a range of between 280 and 310 miles, depending on the variation you opt for – that’s similar to Tesla’s Model Y.

Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants will be available, with the former making up the least potent options.

All-wheel drive versions get two motors that Audi claims will get you from 0-62mph in around 6 seconds.

The battery will be compatible with a vast array of fast charge points, allowing you to recharge your Q4 e-tron to a decent range in less than 30 minutes.

Audi Q4 e-tron release date

Details are still scarce when it comes to price and release date, but we expect the Q4 e-tron to be available before the end of the year.

We’ll bring you more details when they are revealed on 14 April.
