Honda ZR-V styling

Designed to fit in between the HR-V and CR-V, the ZR-V is a mid-sized crossover that’s been designed to take on the likes of Nissan’s Qashqai. The design takes its cues from the latest Civic, with softer lines and smoother angles than we’ve seen from the majority of Hondas in recent years.

Despite it being a new car in the UK, the ZR-V has been available in the US for some time, where this class of car is exceptionally popular. With a high-riding body and chunky SUV-like wheel arch and trim pieces, it’s likely to be a hit in the UK too.

Honda ZR-V interior and trims

Like the exterior, the ZR-V borrows a host of tech and trim from the new Civic. That means all models get a slick 9in infotainment system as standard that’s compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The dashboard has a similar design too, with a long air vent spanning the entire width of the dash.

The system also features a rear-view camera, while the stereo is an impressive eight-speaker system. A 7in digital driver display is also standard on all trims – that kick off with the Elegance grade.

For those that want a higher level of spec, Sport adds things like sports pedals and leather-effect interior trim, wireless charging and a hands-free powered tailgate. The range-topping Advance model adds things like a Bose sound system, a larger 10in infotainment system and a head-up display.

Honda ZR-V drivetrain

From launch, just one option is available – a 2.0-litre hybrid that utilises two electric motors to produce 184hp. Specs are to be confirmed, but it’ll likely work just like other hybrids in the Honda’s range – in stop start traffic it’ll be able to function on electric power alone.

At higher speeds, the electric motors will work with the petrol engine to produce an impressive combination of speed and economy.

Honda ZR-V release date

The ZR-V is available to order now, with deliveries commencing in the autumn. List prices commence from £39,495 and rise to £42.896.
