Peugeot 308 receives updates and new trim levels for 2020

Having long ago been crowned Car of the Year, Peugeot is updating its 308 hatchback and estate with new tech and a range of new trim levels.

The new range structure is based on three main trim levels: Active, Allure and GT. Each of them can be completed by an intermediate trim level named Premium (except on GTi) in order to meet the demands of customers looking for greater comfort, aesthetics or assistance.

Changes and updates also extend to the engines, with Peugeot now only offering three petrols (1.2 litre PureTech 110 and 130, as well as the 1.6 GTI) and two diesels (1.5 BlueHDi 100 and 130).

The Peugeot 308 GTi produces 263 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque, and thanks to a CO2 emission rate of 169 g/km offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio in the hot hatch segment.

The biggest changes are, of course, to be found on the interior. The revised Peugeot 308 gets a 10-inch high-definition digital panel with the central touchscreen including a gloss finish similar to a smartphone.

Android Auto and Apple CarPlay feature as standard, while the reactive 3D navigation features voice recognition and allows you to optimise your journeys with real-time traffic monitoring.

Driver assistance features extend to adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function on automatic models, 180° rear view camera and Park Assist function, active land departure warning and automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring and more.
