  • 29 Jul 2020

Citroen has revealed full details on its new e-Dispatch electric van which will share a platform with the new Peugeot e-Expert when it arrives in the UK later this year.

Specs and dimensions

One of six electrified Citroens set to be revealed this year – including the recently revealed eC4 – the new e-Dispatch offers exactly the same cargo space as the diesel version and offers between 148 and 211 miles of range, depending on specification.

It’s available in three dimensions with one of two battery packs: XS (4.6m long with a 50kWh battery), M (5.3m long and a choice of 50kWh or 75kWh battery) and XL (5.3m long and a 75kWh battery).

Trims

Trim-wise, the entry-level option is ‘X’. This features electric heated door mirrors, an electric parking brake, air-conditioning, DAB radio with Bluetooth and cruise control.

‘Enterprise’ is the mid-range trim which Citroen claims is the most versatile. It adds rear parking sensors, an alarm system, auto headlights and wipers, a 7in touchscreen infotainment system and a dual-passenger bench seat that can fold flat.

‘Driver’ tops the range and adds Active Safety Brake, driver attention alert, front parking sensors, lane departure warning, satnav and a 180-degree rear parking camera.

With a payload of up to 1,262kg, it meets the key requirements of a van in this segment. It also has a 1-tonne towing capacity – impressive for an electric van of this size.

Those that opt for the 50kWh battery can expect a range of up to 148 miles, while the larger 75kWh pack ups this to 211 miles.

Both versions feature a 136hp electric motor and are compatible with Rapid 100kW chargers. Use one of these and you can replenish 80% of the van’s range in around 30 minutes.

Lease deals

The Citroen e-Dispatch leasing offers are available now, with the first deliveries expected to commence in the second half of 2020.
