Leasing.com at Everything Electric: What’s on show?
The Leasing.com EV Test Drive Experience at Everything Electric London is well under way. But if you’re planning on coming along for a test drive, there’s much more on offer too.
There are dozens of the latest and greatest EVs on show at the event. Here’s just a few of the cars you can expect to see.
Renault
Arguably the star of this year’s show is the Renault 5. It was recently crowned European Car of the Year and, with this retro throwback causing such a stir, it’s easy to see why. While it may take its cues from the iconic supermini, under the skin this is a truly impressive EV. Read more about it here.
Changan
Say hello to Changan Deepal S07. It’s another emerging Chinese brand that’s stepping into the EV arena, aiming to compete in the tough European market. It is focusing on offering premium vehicles for under £40,000, and its first model certainly looks the part.
BYD
BYD is showcasing a number of its latest vehicles, including the Sealion 7 SUV, a bold statement in the electric SUV segment at an affordable price point. But that’s far from the only talking point on the BYD stand – the Dolphin, Seal and Seal U are also on display, highlighting just how far the company has come in such a short space of time.
Volvo
Volvo is lighting up the hall with not one, but two striking models: the EX30 and the EX90. With a reputation built on safety and Scandinavian design excellence, Volvo’s electric offerings promise not only efficiency but also a sanctuary of modern luxury.
Whether it’s the nimble EX30 or the spacious and elegant EX90, each model is a clear statement of Volvo’s commitment to sustainable driving.
MG
MG is making a bold statement at Everything Electric by presenting its new S5 EV – and you can be one of the first to drive it it. The model marks a notable styling change from previous models, incorporating completely new design language inspired by the sporty Cyberster and plush HS.
A raft of other models will be available, including the aforementioned Cyberster, along with the potent MG 4 X Power.
Hyundai
Hyundai is rounding off the showcase with an ambitious dual display of the Ioniq 9 and its innovative Inster model. The Ioniq 9 represents Hyundai’s vision for spacious, family-friendly electric vehicles, boasting futuristic design cues and advanced connectivity.
Meanwhile, the Inster highlights a different aspect of Hyundai’s electric strategy: small, compact and built for the city. Together, they offer a glimpse into how Hyundai is balancing practicality with progressive design, covering both ends of the electric market.
Tesla
Tesla never fails to spark conversation at the moment, and its Model Y Juniper is certainly proving popular for test drives. It’s essentially the same as ever, but with a fresh, modern face. But stealing some of the spotlight is Tesla’s headline-grabbing Cybertruck.
Making one of its first public UK appearances, the Cybertruck is a bold, unapologetic reimagination of what a pickup can be. Here’s our thoughts on the Cybertruck, having driven one in the US!
