Mitsubishi Mirage: Sharper and more elegant city car revealed
Mitsubishi has revealed details of its refreshed Mirage, with a sharper and more dynamic exterior as well as more elegant interior design offered.
Due for launch in early 2020, the Mirage has traditionally been on of the cheaper city cars on the market and aims to take on the Kia Picanto.
The revised model features the same Dynamic Shield front design found across the current Mitsubishi line-up, sweeping round from the sides and combined with the square grille to give the front end a more powerful and sharper look. The layout of the headlights also gives the front a more stable and wider appearance.
With squared-off bumpers and the signature L cluster of lights, the rear also offers a wider and more stable look too.
15in alloy wheels finish off the exterior revisions while on the inside the Mirage benefits from a more user-friendly and stylish interior.
The front arm rests use a new design and hand-touch areas are finished in soft-feel cloth. The meter panel and the power window switch panel use a carbon pattern, while upper trim levels are upholstered in a sporty-look fabric/synthetic leather combination.
The revised Mirage is also available with a new seven-inch touchscreen Smartphone Display Audio system. This offers improved legibility and ease of use and full smartphone connectivity including Bluetooth hands-free calling and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
With Mitsubishi focusing its efforts on SUVs, the Mirage has been long overdue a refresh. It will be on display at the Thailand International Motor Expo 2019 to be held on 28 November.
Final UK specification will be announced closer to the launch.
