Annual mileage

All car and van lease deals come with an annual mileage allowance. It's important to calculate this accurately before you take out your contract. The average mileage travelled per car in the UK is 6,551 miles.

Contract length

This refers to how long your lease contract lasts and how long you will have the keys to your chosen vehicle. The most popular contract lengths are two and three years, but longer and shorter contracts are available. At the end of the contract, you hand the keys back.

Maintenance

This indicates whether a maintenance package is included in your lease deal. You can usually opt for a maintenance package at an extra monthly cost.
