If wicked witches drove | Leasing.com

Have you ever imagined a fairy-tale where witches hung up their broomsticks (or, in this case, climbed out of their bubble) and decided to lease instead?

Well, now you do not have to imagine it. With the highly anticipated Wicked: For Good hitting cinemas at the end of November, we have designed what we think Glinda and Elphaba would be spotted driving in the real world.

The Defiance 800: Brooms are Out, Horsepower Is In

Elphaba_Bike

If Elphaba hung up her broom for good, how would she get around? Enter the Defiance 800. Designed for the Wicked Witch of the West, the Defiance 800 features deep emerald trims, neon green accents and a powerful silhouette that showcases everything we love about her character.

Look closely and you will notice clever details woven into the design. The 800 in the name reflects the way many real-world motorbikes use their engine size as part of the model identity.

The motorbike brand name, Defiance, is a direct nod to Elphaba herself. She refuses to fit into anyone’s expectations and consistently stands up for what she believes is right. It also subtly references Defying Gravity, the moment many fans consider to be the emotional peak of the show, with the bike’s tagline, “Together, we’re unlimited”, echoing one of the song’s most iconic lines.

A broom-like tailpiece blends old and new, keeping one foot in Elphaba’s magical world. The neon-lit frame suggests that this vehicle runs on more than just petrol, with a hint of something supernatural powering it forward. Inspired by Elphaba’s power and independence? Float Through Life with Glinda’s Luma Air

Glinda_Car

Elegant and charmed, you can picture Glinda floating around the roads in the Luma Air. With a soft pastel pink tone and pink-tinted glass to mimic the bubble she travels in, Glinda’s car feels light and airy from every angle.

Jewel-like, diamanté-style headlights and gold trim detailing along the curves of the exterior add the same sparkle and shimmer she gives off on screen.

Inside, the Luma Air feels more like a magical lounge than a traditional car interior. Plush, chesterfield-style pink seats with gold accents are designed to mirror the bubble seat Ariana’s character Glinda sits in at the start of Wicked Part One.

Even the name has a story. “Luma Air” was chosen to reflect the bright light ‘Glinda the Good Witch’ is known for. “Luma” is linked to ideas of light, radiance, splendour and brightness, while “Air” nods to the bubble she floats in throughout the film.

The car’s tagline, “Float Through Life”, is a playful nod to the song “Dancing Through Life” from Wicked. Glinda happily joins in with this number and it feels like a motto she lives by. It captures her optimistic energy and the way she quite literally drifts through the world.

Glinda’s Luma Air radiates kindness and magic, for a car that floats through whatever lies around the corner. With hints of the GWM ORA, or maybe it gives you the luxurious and sleek vibes that come with a Porsche, there’s no doubt that Glinda would look the part in the Luma Air.
