Lex Autolease opens fleet car remarketing site in Coventry
Lex Autolease will begin selling on former company cars through a newly opened car supermarket and vehicle processing centre in Coventry.
The ten acre site on Foleshill Road will allow the vehicle leasing company to process and remarket more than 40,000 company cars that are returned to the company each year after their leasing contract has ran its course.
From this Saturday[June 7], more than 500 used cars will be offered to the general public at any one time via the company’s ‘Car Select’ retail brand. Any potential car buyers can view any models on sale from any angel via online 360-degree rotation and zoom tools on Lex Autolease’s website.
Coventry was chosen due to its convenient location and transport links, explained Tim Porter, Managing Director of Lex Autolease.
“The new remarketing site is a key part of our growth strategy and represents a significant investment for the business,” he said.
“As an end-to-end vehicle provider, remarketing plays a crucial role, particularly given the large volume of vehicles that are returned to us each year once their leasing agreement ends. The savings and efficiencies gained by moving to this new purpose built remarketing facility will ultimately help us offer better value for customers at the front end of the leasing process.
“This new facility gives us the opportunity to offer quality, used vehicles to a wider section of potential customers across the West Midlands and beyond.”
More than 150 employees will be based at the Coventry site following the relocation of the company’s existing vehicle remarketing operations in the West Midlands. The purpose-built facility also has created 30 new jobs in the area.
